SCRUM ANALYST
The Business Analyst as Part of the Development Team in Scrum
The scrum model does not recognize any formal titles for team members. They are all considered to be developers even though their responsibilities may differ.
This may seem to exclude a formal role for a business analyst within a scrum development team. However, the framework does accommodate individual members bringing their particular specialized skills to the team, but emphasizes that the team as a whole is accountable for development outcomes.
A business analyst can use his skills to make a significant contribution to the team in the following scrum activities:
- Product backlog refinement
- Sprint planning
- Daily scrum
- Sprint review
- Sprint retrospective
