Requirements for CBAP Certification
The Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification is awarded by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) to people with extensive experience in business analysis. It is a highly sought-after designation that recognizes the value and expertise that individuals bring to the profession.
In order to qualify for certification, applicants must meet stringent criteria:
- A minimum of 7500 hours of business analysis work experience which is in line with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) Guide from the IIBA.
- A minimum of 900 hours experience across at least 4 of the 6 knowledge areas.
- A minimum of 21 hours of professional development received from IIBA endorsed training providers.
To support your application, you also require two references from a career manager, client or a CBAP.
