Although the principles of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) may be widely used in the preparation of business process diagrams, there are relatively few people who know how to use it properly. BPMN training provides direction on how to apply the techniques correctly and use them to portray a true graphical representation of your business processes.

The course teaches the use of the basic business process building blocks:

• Flow objects. These are circles to represent events, rectangles to show activities and diamonds to indicate gateways in the process.
• Solid arrows indicate sequence flow between flow objects and dashed arrows are used for message flow.
• Swim lanes. Pools show graphic containers and lanes indicate pool sub-partitions.
• These indicate data objects, groups and annotations.
