Business Analyst Agile Methodology

Business Analyst Agile Methodology: Management of Requirements

Business Analyst Agile Methodology is about managing requirements in an agile environment. The agile analyst in an agile environment manages requirements differently than in a traditional software development process. For instance, the traditional model of requirements gathering used to mean the analyst was required to use thick-set documents and maintain said documents in a traditional requirement gathering environment. The management of requirements, with the advent of agile methodology has changed. Instead of heavier written work, the “documentation” is much more visual and iterative as opposed to written documentation.

The way in which requirements gathering processes such as elicitation and gathering documents is executed have changed from traditional gathering methods. The emphasis in this type of agile development framework is centred on communicating understanding between parties as opposed to having parties read thick documents that may be interpreted differently. The analyst ensures that said communication is clearly understood and iterated.
