Meet Marwa – Our recruitment face behind ‘escent’s growth

Young, vibrant, and equipped with all the right skills, Marwa has become the first true ambassador of ‘escent for our future talents. As the first-faced candidates see, she perfectly embodies the values and energy that define our company’s reputation. 

How does Marwa describe herself? 

“If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m someone who believes that recruitment is, above all, about people, and the potential they carry. 

I build trust through empathy, presence, and genuine curiosity — creating a space where people feel safe, respected, and truly seen.But I’m also structured, observant, and analytical. I go beyond first impressions. I ask questions that matter, I pay attention to nuance, and I know how to balance intuition with clarity. 
There’s an expression we use in Italy: 

“Volere è potere.” 
(Where there’s a will, there’s a way.) 

This mindset is at the core of how I work. I help people grow, evolve, and connect — not just with roles, but with purpose. Whether it’s a candidate finding their path or me facing a new challenge, I lead with empathy, drive, and the conviction that the right support can move mountains. 

At ‘escent, I’ve found much more than a workplace: I’ve found a culture I’m proud to represent. A place where people matter, where values aren’t just words, and where I feel trusted to grow while helping others do the same.” 

Her journey at ‘escent 

Marwa joined our team in March 2024 as a final-year intern. Her growth within ‘escent is a testament to her talent and determination: 

 From the very beginning, she felt aligned with the company’s spirit: young, ambitious, collaborative, and driven by values. During her internship, she had the opportunity to be hands-on, to take responsibility, and to grow in a team that supported me while also challenging me. 

In September 2024, she transitioned into a full-time role as Talent Acquisition Officer, responsible for recruitment across Luxembourg and Belgium. Since then, she has been managing end-to-end processes, from screening candidates to conducting first-round HR interviews and contributing to strategic hiring initiatives. 

“One of the highlights of my journey so far has been my involvement in the Young Graduate Program. I supported the recruitment of seven recent graduates who joined our academies in Belgium and Luxembourg this year. Meeting young professionals, people like me, full of ideas and energy, and helping them take their first steps into the consulting world is something I truly love.” 

Marwa isn’t just recruiting for roles, she is helping build a culture as the the first face of the company for many candidates, and she takes that responsibility seriously.

What drives Marwa in her role 

When asked what she loves most about her job, Marwa’s face lights up: 

“What I love is that moment, rare and powerful, when everything clicks. When a candidate’s skills, energy, values, and ambition perfectly align with a client’s and/or ‘escent’s mission and culture. That’s not just recruitment. That’s transformation.  

In a fast-moving market where people often feel like numbers, I choose to slow down and truly listen. I aim to understand not just what a company needs, but who they are — and to match them with someone who not only fits the role but elevates it. Because the right match isn’t just a placement — it’s the start of something that grows on both sides. That’s what drives me. 

Her ambitions for the future 

 As part of our ongoing commitment to shaping strong and forward-thinking recruitment methods, we asked Marwa to share her thoughts of her future at escent. 

“I believe that recruitment can and should be a strategic force. My ambition is to contribute to building a hiring culture that values depth over speed, connection over checklists, and above all, quality over quantity. 

 I care deeply about people, their growth, and potential. However, I also understand the impact of each hiring decision on both our clients and escent. That’s why I balance empathy with clarity, making sure that what we build is not only meaningful, but sustainable. 

One area I want to keep investing in is the development of early-career talent. Through programs like our Academy, I have seen how impactful it is when someone feels truly guided and valued from day one. I want to help strengthen that journey, not only for the individuals, but for the teams they’ll grow into. 

In the long term, I want to be part of shaping how we define and attract talent at a strategic level. To help design recruitment approaches that reflect who we are as a company: demanding, thoughtful, and human.”
